Maelyn McCarty, CCC-SLP

Maelyn was born and raised in Fresno, attended California State University, initially majoring in vocal performance, and earned her Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders, as well as in Music with an emphasis on Vocal Performance. With this degree combination, she found her passion in helping patients with voice disorders. She, therefore, completed a Master’s of Arts Degree in Communicative Disorders with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology. Previously, she worked at Central California Ear, Nose, and Throat Medical Group and provided speech-language pathology services to adults and children with a variety of speech and language disorders. Maelyn specializes in working with patients with voice and swallowing disorders. She is a classically trained vocalist in the genre of opera. She grew up singing and performing and has a distinct interest in vocal rehabilitation with singers.

She is married to her husband Michael and just became a first-time parent in February of 2022. She enjoys singing, spending time with her husband and daughter, and going to the beach.
